Who knows what determination lies in the hearts of men? Their soul's shadow knows! C'mon, Lamont Cranston. You donšt remember? Geez, am I dating myself. I used to listen to the Shadow on my Philco radio, a prize for increasing circulation on my paper route (child labor), while nestled into a cotton sleeping bag on the grounds of an old WWII training camp along the Spokane River, surrounded by eagerly listening buddies under the black canopy of pine trees and twinkling stars. Oh well. I will draft this man only if I have to. This team will be racing Buffalo to the bottom and don't have any illusions about it. I like Jordan, he does seem to mean well; but, if he had stayed where he was then he would be on a much better team and be much more valuable, and, with a much longer career making a lot more money! Oakland drafted a maybe with Bush Jr. and he actually looks really good. I've always liked Justin Fargas who looks like he rides up to the games on a Harley and takes off his fan raider gear to suit up. Dominic Rhodes is in the same position Jordan was a few years ago, and looking for his big break into stardom. Whether Jordan's has waned or if he grabs his nuts and runs like hell we'll know soon enough. The real issue is; why are you looking for a running back in rounds seven and eight anyway? You take Jordan because he is a starting back on an N.F.L. team and you need one badly. If you have good starters and maybe even a good back-up then you pass him by and get one with more promise. This goes back to basic draft strategy: running backs first, always. I don't care if Payton is staring you in the face with the tenth pick of the draft. You need to take any of these guys: Joseph Addai, Willis McGahee, Clinton Portis,Maurice Jones-Drew, Edgerrin James, Laurence Maroney, Thomas Jones Etc. Then you're not looking at Morency and Jordan and deciding who to take as you only have one and need a starter. I canšt say anything more constructive here because I drafted him and he burned me once; shame on him. Burn me twice; shame on me! |
