I myself am questioning why I have him before the rookie on this list, but, he is the heir apparent for this year and is a veteran who will be given every opportunity to win this job. The rookie is big and fresh and each day looks better and better to me, but, Morency saved my butt in the Bush bowl a couple years ago by scoring a touchdown and I went on to win a championship. Loyalty baby, it's important! I do like Morency and it's questionable how much anyone should be looking at a the Green Bay running attack anyway. He was already an heir apparent to Davis only to be involved in a very strange trade where Samkon Gado, another back who scored and got me a victory, went to Houston and he to Green bay. Then even Green Bay drafts a big stud when they have so many glaring needs. I guess they think running back was one of them. I'm drafting the 'other guy' but if youčre hurting later in the draft and looking for a long shot instead of a known mediocrity then this is your man. Green Bay has a studly defense and the cut blocking scheme they are incorporating has had time to take. Technically, Morency is better suited to this then the rook and may have actually been practicing and paying attention last year. Training camp and pre-season will tell the tale, but, even if he succeeds they still may use Brandon Jackson around the goal line. Time will tell. Bet on it. |
