Carson Palmer

Here is where the popular pundit strategies diverge.

I believe, and backed it up with statistical analysis last year on the site and in my never published book, that the quarterback position is the second most important in fantasy football.

Like Running Backs, there is generally only one that starts per team and though they tend to score more consistently as a group; the gap in points from the top few elite players to the next level is much larger then any other position.

Plus, due to incompetence and injury the elite quarterback, in rarity, is second only to the elite running back.

Wide receivers are simply too inconsistent and the top ten revolve every year like musical chairs with new players in each round.

The elite quarterback tends to remain on top for a while and deliver consistent performance and with a high pick in the draft this is what you need!

My ideal draft order would be RB, RB, QB, WR, RB, WR, Def, W...

Except, this year I believe there are three QBs that will deliver a statistical advantage over any other back after the top seven.

The first pick must be a sure thing and these three are, as opposed to the RBs that follow.

And, Carson Palmer is the one.

Donšt worry about the physical freak of nature Chris Henry missing half the season; he will be back with a vengeance!

Tab Perry at 6'3" can step in and Rudi Johnson also catches the ball, occasionally. Chad Johnson and T.J. Houshmandzadeh are two of the best at the position.

Cincinnati will be playing many high scoring games, with their average defense, and Carson Palmer has a competitive fire that burns hotter then anyone else!

He was the greatest fantasy quarterback last year and he will be again this year. He started injured and put up 4035 yards and 28 TDs and, now healthy, will improve on those numbers.
