Jackson was always a bitch. Seattle grew tired of his griping, his constant money demands and his lack of concentration that led top way too many drops. He cost the team games when he should have been the professional that made everyone better. Some regretted the loss of his actual numbers but didn't say too much other then good riddance to his abrasive personality. He will be a good fit in San Francisco. Smith is emerging as an excellent quarterback. The kid can throw. The line is starting to gel and it doesn't hurt that you have a very aggressive running back who is willing to play through pain and cause some hurt on defenses. Jackson should shut up and play this season. He doesn't know the team as well, doesn't know the playbook and has a chance to re-invent himself. As many spouses can tell you, people don't often change! By mid-season he will be trash-talking like Gary Payton and griping by next year. However, he will probably out-perform this positioning. San Francisco is on the rise and is officially out of cap-hell. They are making some great choices in the draft and building a solid contender. Many pundits have them winning the division this year, which I think would be a shock. Even though they may have the guts it takes a little more then that to win. I think they will contend for a .500 season and maybe better. Both Seattle and St. Louis are not going to roll over and play dead and St. Louis has an easier schedule. Let's compare: Bulger, Holt, Jackson; Smith, Jackson, Gore. Which three are you going to bet on? |
