Matt Hasselbeck

All three of these quarterbacks are largely the same level.

I have been very disappointed in Hasselbeck.

He just seemed to have more potential both in reality and fantasy.

I have a theory about the plethora of dropped balls in his tenure.

When even the great Jerry Rice drops passes then there must be something going on.

In interviews I heard once that Joe Namath threw the most catchable ball. It just seemed to always come in soft and at the right angle.

Maybe Hasselbeck's passes are the problem. What if the angle of the balls are skewed due to his mechanics and the receivers are always spending a little extra attention and mind time on making sure they catch them.

Just a thought.

This year will certainly prove or disprove that theory. If Hackett and Branch catch tons of balls and don't succumb to the dropsies then it will be Jackson and his ilk that will be the culprits.

This team is good and will be better this year then last. The schedule loosened up a bit and yet their division got tougher.

Both San Francisco and Arizona are better and could split or (gasp) take a series.

I'm not sure either is ready and I believe that it will be the winner of the St. Louis games who will win the division.

These are the dog picks of quarterbacks where a lot of them will simply score in the same numbers. You need a competent one and one that has a chance to do something special.

Hasselbeck has been great in the past and could easily have a great year this year.

Alexander will settle down to his usual numbers and though they have yet to replace Steve Hutchinson they will be better prepared for his absence.

The defense is stout and one of the best. They will give the ball back to the offense with regularity.

19th with an injury last year he was 10th and 12th respectively before that.

Though this is not an exciting pick, I see him posting a competent year and with luck, a special one.
