Ah, one of my favorite players. Just like you are always fond of any bar where you have 'gotten lucky'; I will always be of him. Last year he did nothing on my auction league team and our rules never allowed me to replace him, even though I intended to. After squeaking out of my division with a championship and (unbelievably) a bye, I brely won the next to playoff games to take the trophy and McMichael's TD in weeks 16 and 17 made this happen. Strangely, this is the role of the tight end. Unless you spent an early draft pick on Gates, then the tight end is just a wild card that either blesses or disappears. In St. Louis, he will evolve into a force and may be the sleeper tight end of the year. Did I mention that I love this guy! |
